If you want to install mac os x lion or mountain lion on intel macs that don't support them, use this installer I made. You can download it using the link at the bottom of this post.

Adds support for lion on these macs and using only 1 GB memory (I think, correct me if I am wrong):
MacBook (Early 2006)
MacBook Pro (Early 2006)
MacBook Pro (Mid 2006)
iMac (Early 2006)
iMac (Mid 2006)
Mac Mini (Early 2006)
Mac Mini (Late 2006)

The only requirement is that your install drive, whatever it is, must be named "Lion Install". Also name the hard drive you will be installing mountain lion on is called "Lion". If it is already named something else, rename it by right clicking it in finder and clicking "rename 'insert name here'"

You can also download lion on the mac app store if you already paid for it not knowing it wouldn't work by holding the "option" key and clicking on purchases.

- MacBook Air (Early 2008)
iMac (Late 2006) (ATI X1600 has no graphic acceleration on 10.8.3, so use 10.8.2 or lower if possible right now)
Mac Mini (Mid 2007)
Mac Pro (2006-2007, Some Graphics Cards Unsupported)

Mountain lion patch was made by the combination of "hackerwayne" and "MLforAll's" methods:
