New SSD Installed... Permissions all messed up

I installed an SSD in my Macbook Pro, but before I did that, I backed up everything I needed on an external drive. I didn't use Time Machine or anything program, I just dragged the folders in my "Home" folder onto the drive. ("Movies," "Music," "Documents," etc.)

So it's all working, and the SSD is crazy fast, but I have to change permissions for any folder I want to modify. For every folder, I have to open up the info, and add myself to the permissions.

Is there a way to just do that for every folder and file on the computer at the same time? I'm the only user on the computer and by default, I can only read files... Can't write.

Any help would be appreciated. I can't even import iTunes music now because I don't have permission to the iTunes folder. (Even though I thought I did, but it still won't work...)

EDIT: Never mind! I figured it out! For anyone that has the same issue, it's just a matter or going to "/Users" and changing the permissions on your Home folder so you have read and write permissions. Then click the little gear and click "apply to enclosed items." That should give you read and write permissions to everything in your home folder!
